A Darzi classic in a warm sandy tone made from luxurious 100% tweed wool and lined with super soft navy fleece. It features a traditional Nehru collar with leather trim, four horn buttons fastenings, an inner top pocket and contrasting outer welted pockets in coral red which add a subtle pop of colour.

Our gilet sizing has been through a number of years of trial and error and continues to be an evolving process. Any feedback is therefore always welcome but as a general note, our sizing for our Shetland gilet range has evolved to be a little more generous than some other brands so please consider the below guide for reference.

For example where one might normally be a size M, a size S may be more appropriate here.

The stated measurements have been taken with the garment laid flat, from outside edge to outside edge; the chest measurement taken from armpit to armpit, the length taken from top of the shoulder to lower front hem.

And finally, if comparing our Shetland gilets with our Merino style, please note that the Shetland style features a fleece lining so has a slightly snugger fit than our Merino style which has a plain cotton lining.

Pure wool has been used to make clothing for thousands of years and for good reason. Naturally it is thermally insulating, water and odour resistant, extremely hard wearing, breathable and biodegradable; a unique combination of characteristics which make it the perfect choice for high quality, sustainably sourced outerwear. Moreover, thanks to these natural characteristics, abrasive washing treatments are generally unnecessary.

For day to day care, store on a hanger where possible. If well used, or even a little abused, simply hanging out in cool, fresh air for a short time is often all that is needed to bring a wool garment back to its original shape and form.

In the case of light soiling and small mishaps, always try spot cleaning with a brush or a damp cloth in the first instance. In the case of major mishaps, we recommend dry cleaning as a last resort.

DO NOT tumble dry.
