A product of the age old manufacturing traditions and skilled craftsmanship that can still be found at the heart of the Yorkshire textile industry, this 100% British wool and British made gilet features an unusual heathered tweed that has been exclusively designed, woven and finished for us in the Colne Valley on the outskirts of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Featuring a rich melange of subtle blues and smokey grey tones, this hardwearing and supremely versatile outer fabric has been paired with a range of classic Darzi design details including contrasting welted pocket trims, premium leather bound collar and a super soft organic cotton fleece lining - it's warm, rugged and refined in equal measure.

Pure wool has been used to make clothing for thousands of years and for good reason. Naturally it is thermally insulating, water and odour resistant, extremely hard wearing, breathable and biodegradable; a unique combination of characteristics which make it the perfect choice for high quality, sustainably sourced outerwear. Moreover, thanks to these natural characteristics, abrasive washing treatments are generally unnecessary.

For day to day care, store on a hanger where possible. If well used, or even a little abused, simply hanging out in cool, fresh air for a short time is often all that is needed to bring a wool garment back to its original shape and form.

In the case of light soiling and small mishaps, always try spot cleaning with a brush or a damp cloth in the first instance. In the case of major mishaps, we recommend dry cleaning as a last resort.

UK orders over £100 qualify for free standard delivery. Express next-day delivery is available for UK orders placed before 1pm (charges apply).

UK returns can be initiated within 30 days of receipt. Exchanges are free of charge, including return postage and delivery of your replacement item. For refunds, a £3.50 return postage charge applies.

International returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt for a refund. Return shipping costs are payable by the customer and exchanges are not currently available for international orders.
