Whilst explicitly designed for throwing on, alas this jacket is not one for throwing in the washing machine. 

The subtle blend of cotton and linen is technically machine washable. However, when testing this in practice on a standard wash, we found that it was prone to shrinking. Furthermore the lightly waxed (and therefore splash proof) finish on the fabric is degraded by conventional machine washing.

We therefore recommend spot washing with a damp cloth wherever possible. If absolutely necessary, hand washing with luke warm water is advised.

Always hang out to dry and iron on a low temperature if required.
