As the name suggests, a Car Coat is a concept that originated with the invention of the motor car and subsequently evolved as a shorter length coat (typically finishing at the mid-thigh), designed to offer maximum warmth and coverage but with consideration for the practicalities of operating and getting in and out of cars.
